Day two at Cardigan

By Chuckles W.

On day two I Hiked mount. Cardigan. The climb started after a delicious breakfast that consisted of eggs, sausage and me destroying all of Brian's delicious french toast
casserole’s. After getting completely loaded I had to take a dump and loosened my load before meeting up with Shawn and the Red Dead Tumbling Fires. Shawn brought out a
map and assigned me the job of keeping the Red Dead Tumbling Fires on the correct trail , he went over how our group would be taking the 6.5 mile trail the longest trail
of all the other groups. When we took off we started drawing with a cool scenic stream that went under the bridge we crossed to get to a trail marking sign, where we took
our backpacks off and grabbed our water bottles as Hagan led us to a toast to stumble guys. The next thing that we saw was hobble bush leaves, and a lot of them. After
hiking for some time the elevation changed our surroundings and everywhere but the trail was covered in moss. We took a snack break at a bare rock top with a good view of
mount. Cardigan so we knew we still had a long way to go. After trekking along bumpy terrain we made it the final stretch of bare rock I could see the fire tower.
so I slipped off my boots and put on my sneakers and ran up the rocky mountain with my shoe almost falling off at one time. After a long way of hiking we made it to the
top of mount. Cardigan.
