Where is Cardigan

Relative location- Mount Cardigan and FireScrew is located in Orange County which is near Groton. Cardigan is located north of hopkinton. Cardigan summit is west of the Cardigan Lodge and is about 1.85 miles apart.

Absolute location- Mount Cardigan is about 36 miles North from the town of Hopkinton. Latitude is 43°, 39’, 57.31” North. Longitude is 71°, 54’, 52.43” West. Elevation is 3086ft.

Place - Really really really good description of Cardigan

Physical Geography! All around Cardigan there were many little clam streams including Welton Falls! There are many examples of physical geography! On Cardigan there were many different regions of trees like alpine trees. At the summit there was a 360 view of mountains. All types of sizes and differences. Hiking Cardigan was very peaceful mainly because it was quiet and nice weather.

Cultural Geography! There are many examples of cultural geography! Like People making trails to hike up Cardigan. There has been a tradition that every time HMHS goes to Cardigan Mr. Woolner reads us stories at the end of the day before we go to sleep. Also with the night activities. The food at Cardigan base lodge was amazing and the kitchen staff was awesome!
