What is Cardigan like?
Cardigan is full of places and things. Like for instance the AMC Lodge. The AMC Lodge is west of Cardigan mountain. It kind of looks like a house but has four floors and is covered in trees a little. If you looked at it from the sky it would look like a T. The place around the lodge is a bit different with solar panels and the parking lot a few yards south of it. It also has a lot of trails by it and also campsites. Now Cardigan mountain’s summit. At the summit there is a fire tower and an amazing view. You can see the AMC Lodge and the top of Firescrew, the mountain next to it. There is also a safe house near the bottom of the summit and plenty of Cairn’s.
Lastly, Welton Falls. At the falls there is a stream by it but also the water is a bit more still. The rocks are very slippery and have a bit of mud on them. There are probably fish farther down the river and lots of life when no one is around. It has some great spots to stop and look. There are a lot of bugs and a fallen tree by the pond area. With the mud there is some moss which makes the rocks even more slippery. There are also some rocks you can jump across to get to the other side of the waterfall. The sky is a bit hard to see as there are a lot of trees so it's a bit gloomy down at the waterfall.
We were there for three days, day1, day two, day three.
