In the morning I woke up and took the bus to school I then boarded the bus with many of my classmates. We rode on the bus and soon enough we had arrived. when we got out we put our bags down and walked towards the tide pools, after a while we got bored and later got back on the bus. we took the bus to an ice cream place.

The reason there are tides is because the moon is trying to pull water up and so water is rising (only a little bit) . The moon is trying to drag the water from the bottom of the ocean towards the moon. But it is not strong enough and can only move the water a little higher. When the water comes over the rocks towards the spray zone. That is because the moon is pulling the water towards it.

The spray zone is the highest zone and is called the “spray zone” because it is very rarely completely submerged. It is usually a lighter white, dry and rocky.

The high tide zone is the highest zone that will be submerged routinely; it is only submerged at “high tide” ; it is enough for some organisms like some species of barnacles, periwinkles and limpets.

The middle tide zone this zone is the zone most people spent most of their time in (possibly excluding the shore field area) this area is darker because of algae and has other organisms like barnacles, rockweed and hermit crabs

The low tide zone is the zone where the water is the lowest zone and has organisms like brittle stars, sea stars, sea anemones, sea slugs, sea sponges, sea cucumbers and sea urchins. That's a lot of stuff!

At Odiorne Point I saw many things I saw some cool organisms like seaweed and some knotted wrack the seaweed was a darker green and was laying on the rocks. the knotted wrack was pretty, similiar almost indistinguishable.

WHERE is there the most variety, and WHY do you think this is?

I think that the middle tide zone is the most varied, at least in terms of animals because hermit crabs are there and they are animals with legs and they have a shell but it also has rockweed, a maliable plant with no legs and only root like things. but they also meet in the middle with a limpet a hard shelled animal that gets stuck to the rocks.

Odiorne Point is a very interesting area and if you are an educator I highly recommend you consider taking a trip to Odiorne point.
