Day Three of the Trip

September 24th 2021

Day three had a very bad beginning because of the heavy and very cold rain. With the rain, we did a build your own tree activity under the cover of the AMC lodges mini roof. The activity was nice and was played with tree flashcards. The flashcards had different abilities for your tree which you could bid for with a budget of 100 dollars. Once we had waited the rain out by eating our snack and talking we walked around to the campsite to do a compass activity. The activity helped us find cool and unique, big mushrooms, all white bark, split in half, huge anthills, and more. After sketching our final one of a humongous anthill Mr. Woolner found, we headed back to the lodge to play games and wait for the bus. With the bus now there we loaded on and said our goodbyes to our amazing guides, get our long-awaited Swedish Fish!

Human-Environmental-Interaction was assigned by me for day three. Human-Environmental-Interaction is all about how humans affect the earth and how the world affects us. Why I chose this was because it rained a lot on us which made us keep having to change our clothes to stay dry. This shows how the weather made us change, it affected us. Also, it canceled part of our hike. We also learned about how everyday stuff is affecting our world by causing global warming, through our guide. After all that, we did a compass activity which showed how using the planet’s magnetic poles helps us find our way through the forest.
