Where Is Cardigan?

The location of Cardigan Mountain is in the town of Alexandria, NH 03222. is the lodge and the solar panels are east of the mountain. Welton Falls is east of the mountain and northeast of the lodge. Newfound Lake is about two miles east of the lodge. It is near the midwest part of New Hampshire. It is 3-7 miles east of Lebanon. Hopkinton is 45 miles south of Cardigan. The coordinates of the summit are 43.6498 degrees N, 71.9148 degrees W.

What is at Cardigan?

Physical: At Cardigan I saw a ton of different trees. Birch trees, beach trees, pine trees, hemlock trees and maple trees. I also saw Welton Falls, the river, and a pond with birds, newts and fish. On tons of rocks I saw moss/lichen, and mushrooms growing. When I went, I saw a Monarch Butterfly, and the weather was amazing. And near the top of the Fire Screw I saw a glacial erratic.

Cultural: People, wind and birds brought scottish pine seeds and apple seeds to the lodge area, and are starting to grow near the mountain. People cut down trees to build the campsite. Trail members painted the blazes on the trees and rocks. People put cairns on the mountain, along with signs to help people stay on trail. The fire tower is on the top of Cardigan and is very cool. I heard of the old car on the ski slope and it's really cool. And builders built the lodge and solar panels.

We were there for three days, 9-19-21, 9-20-21, and 9-21-21.
