Day Three
The third day at Cardigan we got on the bus already wet and cold from the drizzly rain seeping into our closes. When we got to the AMC lodge Tom took us over to a little that he had made from connecting a tarp to some trees and sat down under it to talk about when we got to the summit yesterday. After that, we traveled over to the porch of the AMC lodge to have a snack and design the best trees with our team. My team consisted of Lauryn and I. After making a beautiful drawing of the tree we had a little test to see whose tree was best, and we won! Then when the rain cooled off we went to one of the camp sites and started our mystery of the trees which was a little scavenger hunt that we had to use our compasses on as we followed the directions Tom gave us. The mystery of the tree's challenge led us to an old broken down car next to an equally old ski lift. I turned around and right there staring at me was a pair of green fake eyeballs nailed into the tree. After that, Mr. Woolner showed us a huge ant hill crawling with red ants. I stepped to get a closer look but must have gone too far because bright red ants started crawling all over me and stinging me with their nasty little bodies. We made our way to the bus after my little ant incident but had to change into our soccer uniforms for our game this afternoon. We changed in the woods right next to a river hoping no one would look over the hill we were hiding below. We got on our bus but just before we left Tom came on and gave a very nice goodbye to all the Crispy Berries And Cream! We made it home just before the day ended and then got informed that our game had been canceled so we sadly went to our advisers. Sad that the Cardigan trip was over and freezing cold and wet from a day out in the rain but happy to get to see our friends.
The third day at Cardigan mountain it was pouring rain and we all had to wear all of our rain gear and that is why I picked human environment interaction for its theme. Human environment interaction is when humans interact with the environment and the environment interacts with humans. That day the environment made us switch our clothes which is the environment's way of interacting with humans. Also at the end of our trip I learned that a Striped Maple is good for when you need make shift toilet paper.
