Day Two

Just like yesterday we all huddled at Mr. Woolners car to make sure we had no cotton because we don't want to die of course. The bus pulled up and we all loaded up excited for the day to come. Shortly after we got on the bus we started belting out songs in a completely wrong pitch with at least ten voice cracks per minute. We passed two men drinking coffee outside some cute little store and waved, continuing to sing "Let it go". We finally arrived at our destination and started by playing Mountain Baseball which consisted of one team throwing a rubber lobster and the other team going to get it. Then we got into our groups with Tom and learned how to use a compass by always putting red in the shed. Once we finished our team meeting we stared up the tail, stopping briefly at the trailhead to find out which way we should go. The way up was slippery and muddy as we trudged our way up the steep hill following the white blazes. We stopped to eat lunch at PJ's ledge staring up at Cardigan to make our sketches. "Crispy Bearies!" "And Cream" We all screamed, I need to tell you guys that if it starts raining I will turn the group back and we might not be able to summit Cardigan.

"What? Why not?" Lauryn asked, "Because it's two wet and may be dangerous. Stay on all fours." Tom replied. We ventured up the mountain, crawling up the steep parts like little mountain goats. We got to the summit and screamed in excitement looking out at the view of clouds and rain taking a group picture and leaping across the alpine bogs. We make our way down the mountain stopping to hide from Tom in a little cave and finding sundew. We keep making our way down the mountain but have to stop suddenly when Molly hurt her ankle we tried to walk slowly and take care but when Tom looked at the time and it was almost three we had to leave Molly with her mom and Jacques and his dad as Rose, Lauryn, Rowan, Tom and I sprinted down the mountain in hopes of catching the bus ride back stopping only so Rose, Lauryn, and I so we could smear dirt on our face to look fierce and wild. We made it to the bus on time and ran to find our seats so the bus could leave. The bus ride didn't take long and when we got home just like yesterday we ran to our parents car wet and cold ready for a hot shower and dinner.

The theme of region best fits day two because on the second day we hiked to the top of Cardigan mountain and the summit of Cardigan mountain was all rock which makes an alpine zone. Also when we were on the bus we passed though the town of Orange and Alexandrea. Anouther example is when we were at the begining of our hike and there were tons of trees around us so we were in a Norther hardwood forest region. Lastly when the rain falls it goes into watersheds and slids down the mountin.
