When we wemt to odiorn point we first started off with tide pooling. Most people caught many crabs and also a few people found sea urchins. Then after that the grade went up to the benches and we played wiffle ball, and football. Then we all had lunch, I had a sandwich with some candy and a drink and fruit. Then after an hour or so the grade went back to their buses and then it took us about 30 minutes to get to the ice cream place. I got mint chocolate chip it was great. After everyone finished we got back on the bus and it took us about 1 hour to get to the school.
Tides are interesting because with just the power of wind the tide moves up and down in different periods of time When we were at odiorne point we saw the tide down and basically it is where the water is shallow. The water moved back and it was weird to see. Tidal waves are pretty much just big waves in the tide which can happen often but we didn’t see that there because they are caused by underwater earthquakes or volcanoes. Those are not the same as tides. A tide happens twice do to the lunar day on a particular place On the shore between high and low tide lies the intertidal zone, where land and sea meet. The intertidal zone is underwater during high tide and exposed to air during low tide. Ecosystems that live in this zone learn to live with being submerged in water and then being exposed to air soon later.

There are also different zones, and they all have different names From the top there is the black zone, then below it there is the white zone which is like black rocks with white speckles. Below that it is the Brown zone. Finally on the bottom it is the red zone. All of these areas have different ecosystems and animals. These zones over time are covered and un covered by the tides throughout a day.
