At 8am we got on the bus and started to odiorne piont. when we got there we started tide pooling. at 12pm we got on to the bus. on the way back we got ice cream.

When my 7th grade class went to Odiorne Point it was low tide. Low tide made it possible to go in the tide pools. Low and high tides are caused by the moon. When it is low tide the moon is far away. When the tide is high the moon is close. This is because the moon attracts water.

At Odiorne there are 4 zones Black, white, brown and red zones. The black zone is rocks with cyanobacteria. The white zone is the same as the black zone but with barnacles which give white dots all over. The brown zone is the same as the white zone but with rock weed and knotted weed. The red zone is the same as the brown zone but with irish moss.".

At Odiorne I found some very tiny crabs and some big crabs, I never looked to see if it was a boy or girl. I also found tiny tiny lobsters and a sea urchin. The sea urchin was like a burdock.

WHERE is there the most variety, and WHY do you think this is?

I think that the red and brown zones had the most variety. In the brow zone I found lots of crabs, snails and other tiny things. In the brown zone loots of people found lobsters sea urchins and bigger things.
