Where is Cardigan?
The latitude and longitude of the cardigan AMC Lodge is 43 degrees north, 38 minutes 59 seconds, 71 degrees west, 52 minutes 40 seconds.
The cardigan mountain is 30 miles north from hopkinton New Hampshire. Cardigan mountain is 5 miles west from the center of Alexandria. Cardigan is 1-2 miles east of the center of Orange.
WE ARRIVED AT CARDIGAN NEAR 9:30
Physical
When we got there the first thing I noticed was A.M.C guides standing there waving at us
The trees looked amazing in the sun, the breeze was perfect, the weather was beautiful. The grass was green and pretty, the autumn leaves were outstanding above all things, the different barrage of color on each tree was angelic, the heat was lined up perfectly with relaxing wind. When we went down to the pond I felt at peace, the absolute perfect shape for relaxation, the autumn trees around the pond was fantastic, the Green, yellow, brown and red leaves glistened in the sun.
Cultural
The bridges through the paths built with stone and wood, shadowed with sunny leaves, the stream brightened by the sunshine, clear water with rocks at the bottom, the birds chirping a cheerful song. Small waterfalls go after every couple feet splashing into the continuous water that runs all the way down the mountain. We kept hiking then took a break at the top. There was a fire tower, above all things, the trees, the rocks, everything. We were on our way down the second mountain when we found stone stairs, carved by man, to help us on the trail. Markings on the trees, to help us navigate through the forest, different colors, sign’s, for different trail’s.
We were at Cardigan mountain for 3 days, day 1 day 2 and day 3.
