Mt Cardigan is near Shem Valley rd in Alexandria, NH. The mountain is just west of the A.M.C lodge or 4.7 mile away. The gps coordinates of Cardigan are N 43 degrees 38mins 34.79seconds and W 0.71 degrees 54mins 30.59seconds. Cardigan’s summit is in Alexandria but a part of the left side of the mountain is in the town of Orange. Newfound lake is a little east of the summit.

When we went to Cardigan we first hiked to Welton Falls and some of us swam in the water. On day two we hiked Firescrew, the mountain was really steep and rocky while being over 3,000ft tall. There was a little swamp at the summit with lots of allgy, only 1-2ft deep.

On the way to Welton Falls we found a cellar from a home in the 1800s. Lots of farmers left around then because of all the rocks we have in New Hampshire made it hard to grow crops. On day 3 we saw an old car and pulley from a ski hill. On the way to the old car Mr. Woolner pointed out a rock wall that split the woods from a field that cows would graze when the farmers were here.

location: Alexndria west of foundland.

We were there for three days day1,day2 andday3
