Where is Cardigan?
The summit of MT.Cardigan Has a few trails going to it. Also it is located in the town of orange and Alexandrea.The absolute location is N 43 degrees 54 minutes 52.88 seconds and W 71 degrees 54 minutes 52.88 seconds And an elavitan of 3,155 feet. The relative location of Cardigan is about 40 miles North of Hopkinton Middle High School. It is also about 118 miles south of the Canadian border.
When you walk into the woods of cardigan you will see many plants. One of these plants is indian cucumber. These are great little edible plants. It is pretty rocky at Cardigan. Also very shady at Cardigan due to all the tree cover. Also it is pretty wet because of the little rain drops coming off the leaves of the trees. Last of all it is beautiful with all the plants, rocks and animals. On the summit of Cardigan is a bar rock summit. There are a few little trees but other than that it is just bar rock. Also the higher you got on the mountain the smaller the trees were and the more rain came through the trees.
We were at cardigan for 3 days. wensday day 1 , and Thursday day 2, finally Friday day 3.
What is Cardigan mountain like?
When you pull into the Cardigan lodge which is a big gray building with three floors. There is a parking lot on the right where you will see the lodge where you sleep. Then you will see solar panels to the right and a big wide open field where you do big group activities. On the other side you will see all the cars lined up. In front of you you will see a big map for the trails which there are many of. Then when you start walking up the mountain there are intersections for the trails where there are signs to tell you were each trail gos. Also there are a few campsites and bridges along the trails. Near the top of cardigan there is a cabin. Also there are a few stacks of rocks at the top, These are called carins.
