Day 2 Of Cardigan
Day 2 of our Cardigan trip was the day we climbed Firescrew, which is the mountain next to Cardigan. The hike was through the woods, over rocks and beautiful. It was hard, tiring, long but the view was beautiful. Even though I was sore by the end it was worth it. Firescrew is about 4000 feet and we went to the top and back down the mountain the whole way we played games, told riddles, did leaf printing and learned about watersheds. The leaves were just beginning to turn colors so there was only some foliage. We saw some glacial erratics which is movement geography!. Another type of movement that we saw was the scotish pine. These big rocks have moved thousands of miles by themselves.
