Where Is Cardigan?

Welton Falls Welton Falls is in Alexandrea, NH 03222. The latitude and longitude is N 43.66 degrees 39 minutes 26seconds W 71 degrees 51 minutes 51 seconds. Welton Falls is a part of Clark Brook. Clark Brook connects to Fowler River which ends at Newfound Lake. It is about 10miles to Newfound Lake from Cardigan. Welton Falls is east of Cardigan Mountain, but west of Newfound Lake. The falls are northwest of Concord, NH. Welton Falls are southeast of Cockermouth Forest. You can see the falls on a loop that starts out on the Back 80 trail at the AMC Cardigan Lodge. The loop is around 4 miles and breathtaking. That is where Welton Falls is.

What is Cardigan Like?

Cultural

Cultural geography! means geography! that has to do with people. Some things at Cardigan mountain that are cultural geography! are the solar panels on the field next to the AMC Cardigan Lodge which is also cultural geography!. The campsites, steps, bridges, planking, trails and trail markers are all part of cultural geography! Even some trees are cultural geography! they migrate.. The scottish pine and the apple tree are some of these trees that you can find around Cardigan. Apple trees came from Asia then they moved to England before they finally came to America.`

Physical

Physical geography! means geography! that happens on its own. Things that happen without the help of humans. Monarch butterflies that we see during summer migrate down south in the fall. Birds migrate too in their v formation. The mountains surrounding Cardigan include rocks, forest animals, moss, and streams that came on their own, nobody dug the streams, nobody put the animals or rocks there. People know that the flying creatures migrate down south because they can’t handle the northern winters, but nobody knows how they know to go down south. These are just some of the things you can see at Cardigan Mountain. Trees are also physical geography!, there are white pine, hemlock, maple, beech, and birch. So many things that you don’t even think about being a form of geography! Even the beautiful sun is physical geography!

We were at Cardigan for three days, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
