Day one at cardigan By Edward B Green september 22 First when we got to Mt Cardigan we got off the bus and got into groups. After that we sketched the AMC lodge. We hiked for about ten minutes then we stopped and learned about cucumber of the woods which is a plant where you can eat the roots that taste like a cucumber. We stopped to play a game with a clothespin where our group leader Mara hid the clothespin on a tree we had to find the clothes pin. Then we started hiking again and when we got to the waterfall we had lunch. A little while later we found an old cellar with a geocache inside. We played a game in the clearing next to the cellar. Next we explored a river and we did a sketch at another river crossing. Then we got back to the lodge and got back on the bus. People built the AMC lodge at mt cardigan. There are old cellars that were built a long time ago. We found a geocache that was put there by humans. People built trails for hiking. Also there were logging roads that people made so they could log. And there were bridges to cross bigger rivers. Regions Mount Cardigan State Park is a region. Mt Cardigan is in the town of alexandria.mt cardigan is in the country of america. The stone walls mark where the used to be property.
