Adventures of Cardigan:Day 3 Human Environment Interactions

Green During the 3rd day of our 3 day trip to Cardigan, not much happened. When I woke up at 6:45 to the sound of Mr.Woolner walking up the stairs. I had a good night's sleep in the hall. After I woke up I got changed and rolled up all my stuff. I rolled my sleeping bag up and ran downstairs to the quiet corner. It was pretty quiet down there with 3 kids. I sat down and started talking with them, it was pretty cozy. About ten minutes later I decided to get some hot chocolate. It was pretty cold at the lodge so this was perfect. Right when you thought it couldn't get any better, you were delighted with french toast. I had a great breakfast. After breakfast, I went and made my lunch.

We went upstairs to change into hiking clothes. I got my coat ( not a raincoat, winter coat ) and went out to the rock where we meet before all the hikes. I hear Garrett say that today's hike will not be long at all. He was not lying, it was less than half a mile. Aside from the short hike, we did a stream study. The water level was very good and the number of little creatures we caught was very good. We took about an hour and left and went back to the starting point. On the way, we went on this bridge that was over a small stream. It was almost like those fantasized scenes from movies. It was beautiful. The amount of nature we saw was insane. We were also told to LNT ( leave no trace ) which kind of meant make it look like you were not here. The most beautiful thing was the NH foliage. It was a perfect gradient from red to yellow to orange. Later after the hike, we got onto the bus. The bus was by far the worst part of the whole trip it was so horrible everyone was in danger. Whether or not they were standing in the back or next to the bus driver. Food was flying from across the bus. If we could recreate the situation I would have behaved a lot differently. That was day 3 of Cardigan in a brief summary.
