Day 3

It was the last day of my time at Cardigan. I woke up at 6:15 like usual and headed downstairs for our last breakfast. My group setted up for breakfast. That day’s breakfast was french toast with some honeydew with sausage. In my opinion, it was the best meal my whole time there. But once everyone finished the delicious meal a different group cleaned up as the other groups went to change or make their lunches. I made my lunch first the same ham and lettuce sandwich but once I finished I went back upstairs to change into my last hiking gear for the day.

Also, we had to start to pack our clothes and belongings up so we can clear out the rooms for the next visitors. Once all that was done I met up with my group to start talking about what we were doing that day and Blinky said “water experiment.” Once all group members we ready we started along the trail to the river that we would do our water experiment on. Along our way, we stopped at a flowing river with a dam which would impact as human environmental interactions and took some sketches and we also did an experiment on the flowing water, a puddle of water, and just regular water we drink. Once we tested it out we headed back on the trail and stopped at the same river but in a different location.

We did sketches and tried to catch smaller macroinvertebrates. With that process, Tate kept on falling into the river and got himself soaking wet. We finally got everything cleared and cleaned up and started back to the lodge. As we reached the lodge we had our lunch and took a final sketch of the millions of solar panels outside. As everyone finished the sketch we played a little game on our recap of the trip and our experiences. But time flew by and the groups strolled in and we had to start loading on the bus. We said our final goodbyes to our counselors and the bus took us back home. :(
