The location of Cardigan Mountain is in Orange, NH, USA. It is east of Alexandria, Bridgewater, and Bristol, and northwest of Canaan. It is by Newfound lake, and it’s north from Hopkinton, New Hampshire. The latitude of the peak of Cardigan is N 43 degrees, 38’, and 58.2”, and the longitude is W 071 degrees, 54’, 50.5”. The elevation is 3151 feet.

The physical version of place is that on Cardigan mountain, the terrain is rocky, and the shrubbery is small because of the elevation. It is very cold on the top, but the trees are thick more than half way through, which blocks the wind. The leaves and pine needles carpet the forest floors, and there is no trash on the beautiful estate. When you get to the top, the rest of the world is so pretty, and other mountains look like waves about to crash onto the shore. The velvet reds, the fire orange, and the yellow leaves mix in with the rich dark greens from the remaining trees that stay green throughout winter.

The cultural version of place is that people have created objects like the firetower. The firetower on the top of the mountain has stairs where you can have a higher view of the landscape. There is engraved scripture in the rocks come from all the way back to the late 1800s! When you hike back down from the mountain, the AMC lodge welcomes you warmly. The staff is very kind, and they generously give you a room to sleep in, and very delicious food. Cardigan mountain is the most beautiful mountain I have ever hiked up.

Unfortunatly, the trip couln't last forever. After three days of fun and excitment, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, we had to leave Cardigan and all the friends we met and sights we saw behind. But, I will always remember the fun things we did, and I garante that I'll go back to Cardigan to hike again!
