Yellow Group, D2 B2

On the third day, we had had a breakfast of french toast and melon slices. After breakfast, we went to pack our lunch, I packed an other ham and cheese sandwich. Then, our group met up and we had one more small hike on the Nature trail. We found cool plants like ghost pipes and indian cucumbers. I tried a cucumber, and it was so sweet and juicy! Then, we had sat on a log, found a salamander, and ate lunch.

We hiked back to the lodge, and did a pond study by the pond. We spotted a caddisfly, but we had to let it go because there were a lot of yellow jackets by the lake and one stung Captain Boots. We moved up to the lawn, and talked about how basic or acidic the pond was. After that, we packed up our stuff and got on the bus. Movement is an example the AMC lodge because people come and go from the lodge. Also, birds and other animals carry seeds and other plants around the mountain for food. Not only that, the AMC staff lives in different towns than where they work. The AMC staff waved goodbye as we drove out of the parking lot.
