Place
Mt. Cardigan was magnificent! I was able to see many trees with leaves that were changing colors; red, yellow, bright orange and of course those that stayed green. When I got near the top I saw a lot of Mountain Ash. The Mountain Ash has a bright red berry, that made it beautiful to look at. I think the Mountain Ash berries are a food source for many birds. I also l saw a very large rock on the way up the mountain, it was very tall and bigger than a school bus. The large was placed there by a glacier a long time ago. I also saw erosion by water and a little mouse that seemed to fly.
When we came down the mountain we stopped at an overlook where we saw several windmills that looked tiny because we were so far away. The windmills were actually very large and create power. Some windmills were moving and at least one was stopped. We also saw an old green car at the top of a hill that was a ski slope. The car is a 1940 Ford Deluxe sedan and it was in rough shape. The car was used to operate a ski lift, but it was a lift that would drag the skiers up the mountain. The car was a mess and it looked like it was there for a long time. We also saw solar panels that were used to create electricity to run the lodge, which is where we stayed over night.
we were there for three days, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
