Movement
Movement at Mt. Cardigan was visually everywhere. The movement included me using a lot of energy carrying my heavy backpack to walk up the mountain. We saw other hikers walking up the hill and they were also wearing backpacks. The day was slightly breezy moving the trees and leaves around me. I noticed more wind when I got near the top of the mountain.
Halfway up Firescrew, I saw a little mouse jump several times in a movement down the hill to get away from us. There are a lot of animals that live in the forest that are constantly moving to find food or to eventually find a home to hibernate in. I also saw a bee hive in a log that we accidentally disturbed and the bees came out and swarmed the group. There was one person who got stung by a bee in the leg. There were a lot of bees in motion, so we walked fast away from the hive.
When I went down the mountain, I saw windmills in the distance. Most of the windmills were moving due to the wind, converting wind energy to make electricity for towns. We also saw migrating birds in flight moving away for the winter.
