We woke up at 6 o’clock and me and my bunk mates went down to wash our hair in the sinks. Then we went down and sat on the couch before breakfast. For breakfast we had eggs, biscuits, hot cocoa, and fruit, and to be honest it wasn't the best. After breakfast we went and got ready for the day, we made our lunch (sandwiches) and started hiking up to fire screw. We stopped at a cellar hole to see how a human may have interacted with the environment a long time ago. They stacked rocks on top of each other to make a nice cellar that is still hear today. After that we continued our hike up the dangerous mountain. We stopped at this large boulder and Mr. Woolner had this long lecture of how it got there. Then we continued on our journey and saw windmills in the distance and stopped and sketched them. After another 20 minutes of terrible climbing we finally arrived at fire screw and stopped to have lunch. Later, we started going to continue and finally made it up to cardigan. When we reached cardigan, I did a sketch of the carvings in the rocks. Then, Gretchin told us why the cardigan summit is bare. It’s because humans burned down all the trees to try to scare away the wolves that were supposedly living there. After that, we journeyed down the summit trying to go faster because we were very behind. About half a mile before we got to the lodge, we decided to stop at a bridge for a sketch. When we were doing the sketch Madi somehow managed to drop her sketch book into the river we were above, and basically ruining her sketchbook. When we got back to the lodge, we had our break time and then we had dinner which was tacos! After the tacos there was an ice cream sundae, and I got coconut ice cream. Next, it was time for the campfire! We heard Garrett's mango song, the habitat song from Emily, and we heard the crappy scary story. Finally, we went inside and listened to Mr. Woolner read his bird book and then we went to our bunks and went to sleep.
