D2B2, Yellow Group
On day 2 at Cardigan I awoke to a sore back from that bunk. Then about an hour, me and my bunk mates went down to have breakfast. It was eggs and bacon. After we went up and finished getting dressed, then went to our groups. We started the climb up the first of the 2 peaks we would get to that day. When we were nearing the peak of Firescrew there was a lot of exposed bedrock so we kept thinking we were there, then we would turn around and see that we still had a ways to go, [ cue the groan. ]when we finally reached the peak we collapsed on the ground. Then about 20 minutes later after we had had our snack, we got up to go climb the rest of the way up to the peak of Cardigan. This is region because I transitioned from Firescrew to Cardigan. That top was also covered in bedrock. We later learned that a fire had caused all that rock to be exposed like that. After we had gotten back we took showers and ate a dinner of tacos, then ice cream for dessert. We went to bed later than we were supposed to, but finally fell asleep. And just like that our second dar at cardigan was over.
