day 3 (Regions)

On day three at Cardigan we awoke to the delicious smell of fench toast. As we got ready to go eat breakfast we also had to clean our rooms. After cleaning our rooms we went downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast we made our lunch and went off to go outside to get ready for our last hike. When our whole group was outside killion taught us how to use a compass. As he was teaching we saw dan come up soaking wet and blinkey had no shoes on. We didn’t see what happens because we started hiking well we didn’t really hike that much because we did the mystery of the trees. Mystery of the trees is a scavenger hunt about the trees and you use compases to follow the clues. We followed all the clues but my favorite ones were the stonewall and we sketched it and after the stonewall we were led to two old rope tows one was a car and the other one was a metal one. After we looked at the rope toes we walked down half the hill to sketch the mountain after sketching the mountain we walked to a nature loop and stopped at the beginning which was by a stream and talked about our plot studies. After talking about the plot studies we walked along the trail for a little bit and then we stopped again so we could do our solo walk on the trail. For the solo walk we walk the nature loop alone. On the solo walk Grace fell off a bridge and abby got off the trail a little bit. After everybody was down with their walk we sat down on a bench and said what we liked about the trip after that we headed back and ate lunch on the porch and after lunch we got on the bus to go home. On the bus malcom gave out candy. Abby was terrified because there was cheese thrown everywhere. After the bus ride we finally got back to the school and went home.

On last hike at Cardigan we mostly facasted on regions. regions are psrt of the 5 themes of geography. an example of a regons is that there was a stone wall that on one side there was only one type of the same tree and then on the other there was anouther type of tree.
