Cardigan Day Two

Day 2

After our first night at Cardigan, everyone got up around 6:15. One of the groups set up for breakfast and we had bacon and eggs. It takes a long time for people to get food to the lodge. After a different group cleaned up, we all got changed and packed for the big hike to the top of Mt. Firescrew and Mt.Cardigan. Blinky packed us a bunch of group snacks which included M&Ms, gummies, etc. As we started to hike it was easy at first but then got harder. After it got harder we had to move differently to make it up the Mountain. at some parts, we have to do special movements. When we got close to the top of Firescrew but it was not the top. Many times during the hike we thought we were at the top but then found that we still had more hiking ahead! We finally made it and then we had our group snack. From the top of Firescrew, Mt Cardigan looked so far away. We finished our snack and left to go to Cardigan we thought it would take a long time, but it really did not.

When we got to the top we noticed that the group that went around the other side was there. We also noticed that the top was just rock and there were no trees. When we were up there we ate sandwiches for lunch. We also waited for the other groups. When we went down we went down the back. It was a long way down after we made it to the lodge. Some people changed and then waited downstairs after Mr.Woolner read us a story and after that, we all went to sleep.
