Regions:
On day three, the first thing we did when we woke up was pack and put our stuff back in the trailer. After a breakfast of French toast, we went outside and played some games. Then, we learned how to set a bearing on a compass.
With our newfound knowledge of the subject, we started an instruction following compass activity. This was mostly in the campgrounds, which were regions defined by their characteristics of flat land and water pumps. We poked around several regions, each defined by a certain type of tree or plant. For example, we trekked across lands of bush, and thickets of shrubs.
The activity lead us to an old car on a ski trail, another region, known for its being cleared out and not rocky, which had been used as a rope tow mechanism. After the activity, we each did a solo hike of about half a mile, just to calm down before we left and everything went back to normal.
We ate lunch in front of the lodge, then sadly, left the region that was the Cardigan reserve, and arrived in the region of Hopkinton.
