Hiking Trails

We woke up, got dressed and brushed our teeth. Then we had breakfast, got our hiking gear on and made sandwiches. Then we got started on the hike up Mount Cardigan. It was shaded by lots of trees and the wind got stronger and stronger as we climbed up the mountain. We saw dogs as we were climbing up the mountain. Then the trees started to get more spaced out and you could see more and we saw lakes and other mountains. Then we saw the fire tower and it started to get more steep. We stopped and ate our sandwiches. As we were eating our sandwiches Emily dropped her water bottle down the mountain. Our educator got Emily’s water bottle. We put our food away and started back down. When we got back it was already dinner time. For dinner we had tacos. After dinner we got ready for bed and went outside for the campfire. It was fun because there were funny stories and scary stories. And from one of the other educators we learned owl calls. When it was all over we went to bed (and Mr. Woolner gave us York candies as we went to bed).
