The first thing I did after I woke up was start packing, I was able to be completely packed up in around 30 minutes. After I brought my luggage to my Mom’s room, I went downstairs for breakfast which was French Toast and Sausage. Afterward, I brought my bag down to my Mom’s car and then went towards my group. We played knights and dragons which was a game that consisted of trying to be guarded by your knight and be nowhere near your dragon.
We started hiking toward the nature trail, where we would be spending the day. We walked until we got to a stream, which is where we did our “stream study”, or we found little creatures in the water. I found Crane fly larvae and an egg sack. After that, I took the PH% of the water and then we had lunch. During lunch, Garret handed out Double Stuffed Oreos, only this time we each got 2!
After lunch, we started back onto the trail, and we only took one stop to take a sketch. Once we had made it through the trail, we had a debrief and “closing ceremony” and then we went back to the lawn in front of AMC lodge. We waited and chatted with our friends until the bus came, and then we all departed Mount Cardigan.
Movement-
On day 3, there was lots of movement since we were observing the stream. Some of the things I noticed moving are: the stream, invasive species, and little creatures living in the stream. The stream is movement since the water is moving to a different place, the little creatures are movement because they have moved from a different place to the stream at Cardigan, and the invasive species because they likely moved from a different country to Cardigan. Also, we moved from mount Cardigan back to HMHS after our day was done. That is a summary of the movement at Cardigan, day 3.
