Cardigan lodge is placed on a hill sort of with many trailheads around it like the nature trail. The location of Cardigan is in a beautifulplace their is so much seanary around you can see all the beautiful mountains evrywhere you look and theres beautiful nature. There was many grasshopers around the location at Cardigan and other flowers and freash heathy grass growing. The hike to the waterfall was beautiful and as I larned is a part of the location at Cardigan. It is about an hour or less drive from our school. Another way to tell where its located is by the place Alexdrandia, NH. It is a popular hiking spot and our school has been going as a seventh grade group for a while. Some things around the lodge are a water spicket and a fireplace were we told stories at. Overall cardigan is placed in a fantastic spot with tons of land to explore and enjoy the outdoor life.
Cardigan mountain lat and long is important because if you were to have a useful tool of a gps type of thing it would be very useful to look at the lat and long and track were it is. Its also cool to look at a map and see the elevation going up. For example we used a map well hiking up cardigan and the map had the elevation in diffrent colors going up. To conclude the lat long and elevation is very helpful to have. Lat: N 43degrees 3859.6 Long: W 71degrees 5241 Elevation: 1,409
The location at cardigan is 1,409 feet above sea level. The location is Absolute location and Relative location. It is both because we can use coordinates to find where it is and i have the coordinates and to inform i also have the information of where the location is using other things.
Cultutral Geography
Cultural geography is all over the mountain as well its anything to do with people so when we went to cardigan we changed the place. Another example of Cultural Geography is us eating on the mountain we moved our selves up there and took our food with us. To conclude Cultural geography is all over Cardigan and we can fins it anywere just like Physical! Cardigan is a great place to do many things like hike and hang out with friends and see new kinds of geography. Its a place where you can learn about nature and discover different trees. I learned many things while I was on my trip, that there is a plant that is called a indian cucumber and when you dig them up you can eat the part that's in the ground. The mountains we climed up to find the indian cucumber was an example of place. That is a great survival skill and I can use it in my future. To add information, another example of place would be, the trees we saw many hemlocks, maple trees and more. Another great thing I learned is how to tell a hemlock and a maple tree apart. I saw many mushrooms on the trip and many grasshoppers and had the best time hiking with my group. Overall it is the best thing ive done in awhile.
Physical Geography
The place of cardigan is very amazing there is great seanary around you. Physical Geography is evrywere at Cardigan you can see mountains and rivers from the lodge and while hiking. Another example is all the plants you see like indian cucumber that we even ate. There is Physical geographty all over the place at Cardigan another example is Cardigan itself. We climbed a peice of Physical Geography if you noticed it or not. We also ate lunch on Physical geography! Overall Physical geography is all around you just take a look and you will notice it.
We were at cardigan for three days, Sunday , Monday and Tuesday. We had a blast at Cardigan and learned so many new things.
