The Beautiful Day 2

Red group.

On day two my group set up breakfast. This was made up of things like fruits, muffins, eggs, and bacon. All of the food was out on the table for you to grab. After a delicious breakfast, we started towards Mt. Cardigan. With time on the trail my group came up with a few trail games, one of which being a game where you would name an animal that started with a, say it was anteater, the next person would have to come up with an animal starting with the letter R. Games like that, fun time-passing games. There were a few different types of woods that we went in. I don’t know the exact types of regions that passed, however, there were forests with only pine trees, and some with only deciduous trees. There were a few with both, but those were more rare. After all that, we reached the bare rock summit. Just as the surrounding forest went away there was an old broken down shack that was very interesting. There were also strange lines of quartz that ran around the summit. When we finally saw the firetower at the top it was a giant relief for most people to get to the top of the mountain. There was a little monarch butterfly just sitting in the top, being blown by the wind. At the top of Cardigan we had a good lunch and decided to go down Firescrew. It was a long journey down but we got there in the end and took a nice long break. We had dinner then Mr. Woolner read us a story from a book he had. After all this we still had more. We went to the campfire outside and all of the councillors either sang us a song or did some sort of performance. Soon after we all had a nice long sleep.
