Day 3 at Cardigan

The 3rd day at Cardigan was a sad one, because it was our last one. It was also a day filled with movement! In the morning, we had yummy scrambled eggs for breakfast. Then we moved got out on the trail and went for a quick nature walk. We saw a rock foundation on the hike but it was empty because the people who used to like there had moved away. We also learned lots about the pH of water, and then we moved that knowledge back to HMHS. There was a small mishap involving a member of our hiking group and a very slippery bridge but everything was ok in the end. Me and Evie almost froze to death but luckily, we survived.

Closer to 2:00, we headed back to the bus and boarded. That started our second movement phase of the day. We practiced the movement theme of geography for about 1 and a half hours and then finally arrived at HMHS at around 2:20. A X-C practice immediately afterwards did not do anything to help me and Annie’s sore (from lots of movement) legs.
