Cardigan Mountain is located at 43 degrees 38’58.32 North, and 71 degrees 54’51.18 West. it is located in Alexandria, NH. Its the mountain surrounded by tons of trees and covered by rocky grounds. Its higher up than the lodge and overlooks Alexandria. It’s north of Hopkinton, and west of Newfound lake.

Physical Geography

Mount Cardigan is a very big mountain that has tons of trees, fungi, plants, leaves, animals, and streams. It’s very steep going up the mountain, and there are tons of roots in the ground going up. There are leaves all over the ground and fungi covering rotting trees that fell over. Once you get towards the top of the summit, you get into a rockier steeper climate. It’s a very large summit and the ground is covered in rock with little trees.

Cultural Geography

The lodge at Mount Cardigan is very big, its white, and there’s a lot of wood that its built from on the inside and outside. The rooms are kind of small, and the hallways are pretty big. The dining room is huge with tons of tables and good food. The food is nicely cooked, and you serve yourself. At the end of dinner we clean up the tables, weigh leftover food, and listen to Mr.Woolner’s stories.

We visited Cardigan for 3 days,Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
