The Twenty-Ninth Day of September Through October Oneth, in the Year of Our Gourd Two Thousand and Nineteen
At the end of September, the 7th grade of Hopkinton, NH went on a field trip to Cardigan Lodge. The mountain is about an hour and a half north of Hopkinton, NH. Mount Cardigan is west of Alexandria and north of Grafton. The summit’s latitude and longitude is 43° 38' 58.96" N, and 71° 54' 51.38" W.
There are many examples of cultural geography on Cardigan Mountain Here some of those examples. The AMC Lodge makes their food from scratch using ingredients acquired from local farms to make healthy and nourishing food for hikers to continue their trails. As one arrives at the AMC Lodge they're likely to see a set of solar panels propped on a hill next to the lodge Almost all of their energy comes from these panels! Cardigan mountain also has seasonal activities for all ages such as constructing trails, outdoor classrooms, and just hiking the mountain itself.
There are tons of examples of physical geography on Cardigan Mt, here are some of them. If someone were to look west from the AMC Lodge, they would probably see a lake full of wildlife such as fish, amphibians, and macroinvertebrates. Usually when an individual reaches the summit of a mountain they will mostly see vegetation and wildlife, but the summit of Cardigan mountain is quite different. The summit of Cardigan Mountain is very bare and dry except for a small pond close to the edge of the mountain. At the lake, west of the AMC Lodge, there is a waterfall. This waterfall is one of the most beautiful sights at Cardigan Mountain because of how much wildlife and nature involved in it.
On September 29th, our class arrived at the AMC lodge on Mount Cardigan. We stayed for two more days, arriving on Sunday, and leaving on Tuesday.
