Day 1 Cardigan The beginning moments for our first day of Cardigan started when we showed up at school, got on the bus and loaded our bags onto Mr. Woolner’s trailer. As we waited for the bus we talked about the future of our trip and how much fun we were going to have. Our school has been doing this for long time now. Its was a just an idea a long time ago but now our school has been going to Cardigan and staying over at the AMC lodge since 1998. Once the bus showed up we all hopped on with excitement and got into our seats. There were still a few kids running late so that give us more time to seat and visit with eachother before we left. It took about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there. Considering that we were all on one bus with half the grade it wasn’t all that bad. When we arrived we got off the bus and immediatley were introduced to the educators while playing an activity simultaneously. After we were finished playing the activities one of the AMC lodge managers told us how everyhting works and how everything was going to go. Once she was done talking she sent in a few kids at a time to enter the lodges mud room. In the process of walking inside the lodge while looking around at it features it really wasn’t what I expected. It wasn’t in a negative way or positive way but the inside was not what I pictured. Mr Woolner did show us photos of the lodge before hand but actually walking inside it felt very different. BefThe hike to Welton Falls wasn’t all that bad considering it was wet and cold. At the falls something I thought was an example of Human Environmental Interaction was when our educator “Blinky” told us to be extra careful around the edge because of the weathering that indented the side of the cliff. Blinky told us that her ancestors were from Poland. The hike to the falls was exciting and adventurous, but the hike back was cold and tiring. When we reached the solar panels Jake, Malcolm, and I sprinted back to the lodge making sure we wasted none of our precious freetime.
