Day three: human-environment interactions

On the final day of our cardigan trip, We were woken up to amazing French toast. After that, we got dressed for the rainy day we had ahead of us.

My group met out on the deck and then we were off. We went a little bit into the woods and then stopped at a little Campground. Gretchen, my counselor, told us to be careful of the ground because it was soft and muddy. (this is an example of H-E-I) She gave us all compasses to practice with. it was pretty easy.

Once we all had the hang of it, we went on a scavenger hunt with their compasses. it was pretty fun. the end prize was a really really really cool old car in the woods. We werent allowed to touch it. As we admired it and sketched it, Gretchen told us it was time for lunch. we sat down in the wet grass and feasted. We had to pick up our trash, (another example of H-E-I) then, we are on our way. we went to the other side of the Woods and explored on a we hadn't gone on at all. We learned about hemlocks and mud. then when that was over, we went to the fireplace and wrote about our experience. then, grab your stuff and got on the bus to go home.
