My guide, gretchen, told us about all the people that used to live at farms at Cardigan. They moved because of bad things. (another example of movement) Our guides told us we had five minutes to change and get settled, then to meet them back outside. I was rushing so much that I didn’t notice my mom’s old hiking boot was falling apart. Crap. I told Mrs. Baroody and got sent to Mr. Woolner. He gave me hiking boots two sizes too small, but there was no time to get other ones. I limped over to my group, already losing circulation in my feet. We started off our first hike to a waterfall. (the waterfall is also an example of movement) It was seriously beautiful. With a couple of snack breaks and more than a couple of waypoints, we were back at the cabin for free time. At free time I showered, took a nap, and massaged my poor feet. I also got new, bigger boots. (Hallelujah) Then before I knew it, it was time for dinner. Garrett’s group set the table as the others played apples to apples, a very fun game. Dinner was pasta, and it was pretty good. After dinner, we got our pajamas on and listened to stories. Then we went off to bed and got a good night sleep.
