Cardigan Day 2 - Regions
When we woke up on day 2 of our Cardigan trip we went down to the cozy corner for hot cocoa. Then we had eggs and bacon for breakfast and after we cleaned up after ourselves, we made sandwiches to eat while we were hiking. Then we went back to our bunk rooms so we could get dressed and ready for the day of hiking ahead of us. Then we found our hiking groups and looked at the map for a route up the mountain. While we were walking, we saw this HUGE tree that we stopped at so we could have a quick snack break. After a sketch or two, we started to hike more. After about an hour we stopped to look at the trees. We stopped because they were separated into different regions as we climbed higher. At the bottom there was mostly deciduous trees but towards the top there was a lot of coniferous trees. Next, we played a round of camouflage and started towards jp ledge. When we got there, we ate lunch and did a few sketches and went to the summit about half a mile away. At the summit, we could see everything. We also saw a lot of carvings on the rock. Then it was time to come back down so we powered through the next two hours and got back to camp. Then we had free time so we sat in the cozy corner and talked. For dinner, we had sloppy joes and after that, we went to the campfire. While we were there, the educators put on skits and sang songs for us. After, we went inside for a few stories and went to bed. And, Mrs. Roberts gave out candy again.
