Cardigan Day 1 - Movement

When we got to Cardigan Mountain lodge, we were ready to stretch our legs. We hopped out of the bus and headed over to an open field. Then, we played a game of rock-paper-scissors shoot and then some mountain baseball. After, we figured out our hiking groups. Then, we came inside and unpacked our bags. We regrouped and ate lunch while sketching the lodge. Next, we started the trek to welton falls. We were moving along the trail and then we had to cross a river. We stepped on rocks and made our way across. We reached the waterfall and admired its beauty. Then we turned around and started back to the lodge. While we were walking back, our group leader spotted some “Mac-and-cheese” fungi. We sketched that during a quick break, and continued back. We saw a cellar hole made of rocks from the early 1900’s just before getting back. Then we had free time, which almost everyone used for unpacking and then went to the cozy corner before dinner. We had spaghetti for dinner and then went on a night hike. After about thirty minutes of stories and wandering through the darkness we came inside to enjoy stories by Mr. Woolner. After we went to bed, Mrs. Roberts handed out candy!
