Region

There was a small, thick forest of paper birch trees on Cardigan, but now most have fallen down. The closer you get to the top, the shorter the trees get. This area is called the sub alpine zone, mostly made up of red spruce. The peak is bare with no trees, but near the bottom, there is an overgrown ski trail huge field of weeds, ferns, and juniper.
