When we went to Cardigan Lodge located in Alexandria, New Hampshire. The lodge is run by the AMC, which stands for Appalachian Mountain Club. Some of the statistics regarding the Cardigan summit are Latitude: 43.6498N Longitude: 71.9148W That is where the Cardigan Mountain Lodge is located.
At Cardigan place included a lot of physical and cultural geography such as the trees and mountains, this is the perfect place to admire the physical geography! We made sure to jot down stats about where we were and to embrace nature and the great outdoors.
On the 1st day we hiked near a waterfall and sketched a bunch. We ate a spaghetti dinner and went to bed, but more detail in the link. On the 2nd day we climbed up Mount Cardigan and Firescrew. On the 3rd day we took a small hike and did a water study. Cardigan is near Orange and Alexandria, New Hampshire. The latitude and longitude showed us how high up we were, and having those GPS’s were a life saver! Also in our notebooks we sketched and wrote down where we were so we can remember and look at them later in life. Our guides were from the AMC as well as the lodge and helped us appreciate nature the way it should be appreciated. That is the place of Cardigan mountain. The top of Cardigan at the summit was gorgeous. I took so many pictures my camera died! This was the best field trip I’ve ever gone on so far.
