Day 1
The first day we were at Cardigan we took a long bus ride their, which we did lost of Movement.Most of the time on the bus I was drawing. While we were on the bus we did lots of one theme of geography! The most common theme that I noticed was Movement. We did Movement on the bus when we traveled from HMHS to the AMC Lodge for a field trip.
When we got to the lodge we went up to an open space and the troop leaders introduced themselves. We also introduced ourselves. After we played games for a little bit we finally got to go up to our rooms to get ready for the small hike up to Welton Waterfall. We saw people leaving Cardigan, which is an example Movement. Near the lodge there are lots of mountains that Movement helped created by tectonic plates.
After I got settled in the right clothing and chatted with my friends in the room I went down to meet my group for the hike. During the hike the group I was in was getting to know We started we all got to know each other better throughout the hike. During the hike we did many sketches of trees and wildlife. Once we finally got to the waterfall our group was the last group. The waterfall also represents Movement because the water comes from the mountain and forms into the rivers and waterfalls. We did a sketch of the waterfall that was there.
Being the last group back I had little time to take a shower and hanging out with my friends in my bunk. When it came time to eat we ate spaghetti with meatballs. Movement is involved with the dinner because the meat had to come from somewhere and was transported here and the same with the spaghetti.
After we ate dinner we went on a night walk. While we were out in the woods most of our group was scared, including me because we had to turn off our lights. After that we sat down on a small patch of grass and our leader told us a story about the night. Once we moved back to the AMC Lodge I got into my PJ’s and went back down to the hangout space to hear about a scary story that involved a pirate. Then we went to bed and talked for a while, and Mrs.R gave us candy. Then we actually went to bed.
