On the first day at Cardigan we started by playing some tag games in the field. After that we went off into are groups and ate lunch, while we were packing up our lunch up lunch we found a cool little snake. From there we marked are first waypoint at the lodge, after we finished our sketches we started up the trail to the waterfall, we came across a point in the river we needed to cross and as i was nearing the end of the crossing I slipped and fell into a puddle soaking by legs, and shoes. As we got to the waterfall the bottom of of Brandon's shoe fell off and Gretchen had to use an ace bandage to keep it together. We made another waypoint at the bottom of the falls and had a quick snack. On our hike back to the lodge we played a brief game with Gretchen our team leader hid a pencil and we had to find it the lesson of the game was to focus on all of our surroundings basically focusing on human environment interaction and how we had interacted with nature all day. Then we finished hiking back once there we went on the nature loop to end our day of hiking. After we did that we prepared for dinner, had dinner, played some games with the counselors. Mr. Woolner read us a story and we went to bed.
