The bark of the trees is brown. The leaves match with the grass in the color green. The sky is blue, with white clouds soaring in it. The sounds of animals fill the woods, with all the waterfalls with it. It smells of sap and dirt. The pond is not too big, but big enough to be home for some small creatures. Some would include frogs, salamanders, and even fish.
The lodge looms over the surrounding area, with the parking lot out front, the left side taken up by a cleared field with a firepit occupying part of it, and the remaining space just small grassy areas between the lodge and the woods. All through the vast woods, going all the way up to the summit of Mt. Cardigan and back, winding trails find themselves running in between trees, on dirt roads, over bridges, across streams, and suddenly at the top of a mountain.
