This was the day that we were going to summit Mt Cardigan and Mt Firescrew. We started by sketching the lodge. Soon we were inside of the Cardigan Mountain State Forest. It took us a long while with a lot of sketching to even get a view. It was beautiful. But we headed back into the woods. Eventually we crossed from the town of Alexandria into the town of Orange. The climb up Firescrew was rocky. The top was part bog part rock. We had a nice view of Cardigan from it. We tried calling up there to hear a response, but we did not get one. I found a hat while using the facili-trees. 15 minutes later, we came to the top of Cardigan. Our activities were sketching the fire tower, putting on warmer layers, snacking, and taking photos. On our way down we crossed back into the town of Alexandria, and saw a spooky run-down cabin. During the night, we spent time around a campfire, putting on skits that we came up with on the spot. It was pretty fun. It felt good to get in my sleeping bag.
