On day 3 we woke to a rainy morning. Like the day before, we went down a little early to drink some hot chocolate. Then we ate breakfast which was the same as the day before also. Then we got changed, picked up our packs, and met up with our groups. My group was going to do the "Mystery of the Trees" exercise first. It was game that had to do with compasses and finding cool new trees and waypoints. The region of the meadow we were in was very lush, full of bushes and ferns. It had lots of campsites and firepits around. We found a hollowed out tree and a rope-tow. Then we went back down the hill, ate some lunch, and talked about the bee population. After that, we quickly hiked back to the AMC and walked to their resident pond. We were looking for cool pond animals. We found really cool salamanders and frog eggs. The region of the pond was quite marshy and had reeds everywhere. It had some picnic tables and a lot of paths coming off of the central clearing. After learning and identifying the animals we caught, we stopped in a clearing before a nature walk. We played a quick trust game and Mr. Woolner taught us about hemlocks and Indian cucumbers. Then we went on a nature walk one at a time to learn about hiking by yourself. Then as soon as we finished the hike, the bus was already there to pick us up. Then we took the hour-long trip home and settled back into our normal lives.

Here is my MOT tree sketch, my hemlock sketch, and my indian cucumber sketch.
