Cardigan is a mountain that is apart of the Cardigan Mountain Range. Which includes Fire Screw and Cardigan. rich with streams and small waterfalls. Near the top the landscape is baren with no trees. But when you get lower there starts be more spruce trees almost as tall as me. Moss is everywhere three fourths of the way up. There is a glacial irradic made of quartz. Many rock faces surround the mountain, these rock faces are mostly granite.

Along the trail there are many cairns going down the mountain until the tree line. Then when you resch the summit there is a light grey fire tower, that is connected to the mountain by cables. All around the summit there are many rock carvings showing times people visited it. Then all along the river there are many wooden bridges stretching over the water.

The relative location of Cardigan mountain is west of Newfound Lake, and east of Canaan Street Lake.It is south of Welton Falls. The absolute location of the summit is 43 degrees, 58,39 N and 71 degrees,54,53W. Then the mountain itself is in town of Orange NH.

Welton Falls is a waterfall west of Cargigan and Fire Screw. This fall has a big drop and has a very beutiful place right above the falls were you can watch and draw the falls. The falls are relatively near the AMC Lodge that is west of the falls, and is north of Newfound lake. The absolute location of Welton falls is 43 degrees, 39, 26 N and 71 degrees, 51, 51 W. It is in the town of Alexandria New Hampshire.
