At cardigan we stayed at a lodge called the AMC,on the bottom of the mountian, Cardigan. you drive up a quite long driveway. all around it are woods and trees. there is also many lakes/ponds/streames near it. Although the trails go deep into the woods, there are many signs to get back to the lodge. At cardigan we took cordinates, at the lodge the latitide was

The trails on cardigan were marked very well, so we couldn't get lost. There were lots of trails with beautiful views. But nothing compared to the view on the top of the mountian. Actually, my favorite view was the one when we were almost on the top and there was a opening in the trees. we got to see all of the trees with the leaves about to change color to red and orange ish yellow. You just would want to take a picture in your mind to be able to see it all the time. Most of the trails don't have to many ways to get lost, but a lot of roots, on the third day there was a huge rain storm and it was so slippery.

At cardigan, Towards the bottom of the mountain there we're lotts of trees. They were also on the turning to other colors process. There were also plants, there were lotts of fern and star plants. As well as small, growing trees. Another thing that was there is the mountain. You may not have thought of that as being a phisical thing but, it is.
