On day 2 at cardigan we woke up and hung out in our room until it was time to go down to breakfast. After breakfast we got on our hiking gear and went along the trail. A noticeable incline was felt as we started up Firescrew - we hiked up the mountain for a few hours before we got to the summit. Along the way we saw many beautiful views of the mountains in the distance. We ate lunch at the summit of Fireskrew and then started down the saddle to Cardigan. That part was quick - we soon reached the summit of Cardigan. There we took photos and drew sketches. One of the main features of the summit of Cardigan is a fire tower. That is an example of human environment interaction. Humans were watching for fires but they needed to look from higher ground. They build the fire tower so they could see in a far radius. After we finished observing the land from the summit, we continued down and eventually got back to the lodge. We hung out until dinner - after dinner, we were read a story by Mr. Woolner and went to bed.
