On day 2, we encountered lots of human environmental interaction. When we first got up, we got prepared for the big hike that we were doing that day. After about an hour we started our hike. We also stopped a lot to not only sketch but to interact with other organisms. While hiking up, we also observed the different zones (e.g. alpine zone, boreal zone etc.). We made it to the top of Firescrew just in time for lunch. It was a great view and we were able to interact with the ecosystem even more. During the afternoon we finally made it to the top of Cardigan mountain and saw the different fragile ecosystems. Some of us accidentally stepped on them and we shouldn’t have because the resources are very limited up there. While hiking down, we interacted with a plant that is edible. This plant tasted like an apple. After that we did the same nightly routine as day 1, and then we went to bed.
